Outokumpu, Aperam and Acerinox, leading stainless steel producers in Europe, have announced their alloy surcharges for August. The cash seller and settlement nickel price has recovered as of the beginning of July and has mostly trended above $10,000/mt. As a result, alloy surcharge prices have mostly moved up with the support of the rises seen in stainless steel quotations.
The cash nickel prices at the London Metal Exchange (LME) were standing at $10,315/mt as of the end of business on July 26.
