Enquiry for Chinese HRC from the Philippines

A customer from the Philippines is seeking 1,000-2,000 metric tons of SPHC grade 2.0-12 mm x 1,000 mm x C hot rolled coil from China at $510/mt CFR on actual weight basis via at sight payment for February shipment from a trader in China. The Chinese trader told SteelOrbis that they could not accept such a low price at present because the ex-factory price in China for SPHC is always higher by about RMB 150/mt ($19/mt) than that of Q235 or SS400 quality. Currently, there are seldom HRC offers from China to other countries due to lower price enquiries from abroad than the prices in the domestic market.
