Domestic CRC prices in Turkey move up

During the past week, demand for local producers’ products in the domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market in Turkey has recovered and buyers have stepped up their purchases. Due to the increases in global raw material and flat steel prices, Turkish mills have increased their CRC prices in line with the upward trend of domestic  hot rolled coil (HRC) prices. Turkish mills’ domestic CRC prices have moved up by $10/mt week on week to $590-610/mt ex-works. 

In the spot market in Turkey, CRC demand has picked up, while spot prices are expected to see an upward movement in the short term. Turkish traders’ CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are at the following levels:

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for July delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
