Demand in local Turkish CRC remains weak

Demand in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) market has remained weak during the past week. The downward pressure on CRC prices has come to an end amid the slight increase seen in domestic HRC prices, while buyers believe the increase in HRC prices will be short-lived and so they have continued to conclude CRC sales only to meet their immediate needs. Turkish steel producers’ domestic CRC prices have remained unchanged week on week at $600-620/mt ex-works.

Meanwhile, Turkish traders’ CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are at the following levels:

660-680

670-700
