Demand has remained at low levels in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) market during the past week. Market sources state that the declines recorded in the global flat steel market and the fluctuations seen in the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate have negatively influenced the local Turkish CRC market. Over the past week, Turkish steel producers have kept their domestic CRC quotations stable at $610-630/mt ex-works.
Meanwhile, Turkish traders' CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market have declined by $10/mt week on week and are at the following levels:
Product | Price ($/mt) | |
Eregli | Gebze | |
0.6 mm CRC | 660-680 | 670-700 |
0.7-2 mm CRC | 630-650 | 640-670 |
