According to market sources, demand for hot dip galvanized (HDG) products in the local Turkish market has continued to be characterized by sluggishness during the past week, while market sources state that producers have started to offer discounts of $10/mt depending on tonnages.
In the Turkish domestic market, HDG sales prices have remained unchanged over the past week for April production and are currently as follows:

Meanwhile, demand for Turkish HDG exports has continued to improve since last week, due to quite low inventory levels in the target markets, where buyers have been slow to make HDG purchases for a long time now. However, just like the situation regarding Turkey's pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil exports, the increase in inquiries has not yet been fully reflected in the volume of deals for Turkish HDG exports. In addition, Turkish HDG export offers have remained unchanged over the past week in the range of $650-690/mt FOB for April production.
