Demand in the Turkish pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) market has remained on the weak side after the Ramadan holiday, though a recovery is expected after the first round of the presidential elections on August 10. Meanwhile, local prices have indicated no changes since last week.

Turkish mills' local offers for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are standing at $1,030-1,080/mt, while offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $890-940/mt and prices for RAL 9002 1 mm stand at $810-850/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

In the meantime, demand for Turkish PPGI exports has remained slack this week. Ex-Turkey PPGI offers have remained stable since last week at $875-925/mt FOB, for August production.
