Flat steel demand in the Spanish domestic market has failed to show any sign of improvement this week, while discounts on list prices are available for real buyers. As local mills are eager to provide discounts to attract orders, demand for import material has diminished and already limited local demand has generally been satisfied by domestic mills.

SteelOrbis has learned that in the Spanish flat steel market prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) are standing at €510-520/mt ($663-676/mt) base level, while cold rolled coil (CRC) offers are at €590-595/mt ($767-774/mt) base and hot dip galvanized coil (HDG) base quotations are currently at €570-580/mt ($741-754/mt). All above prices are on ex-works basis and for October output.
