Even though some import bookings have been concluded so far in the Turkish flat steel market, new reduced import offers have seen little interest as demand has remained on the sluggish side. Turkish mills have cut their domestic prices slightly, while import offer prices have experienced sharper reductions.

Russian hot rolled coil (HRC) offers to Turkey have decreased by $25/mt as compared to two weeks ago to $575-585/mt CFR, while cold rolled coil (CRC) offers have dropped by $10-15/mt to $680-700/mt CFR. In the meantime, Slovakian HRC offers to Turkey are now standing at $580-585/mt CFR after a drop of $10/mt over the past two weeks.

On the other hand, Romania is offering HRC to Turkey at $600-605/mt CFR, decreasing by $10-15/mt as compared to last month, while Romanian CRC offers have declined by $5-10/mt to $700-705/mt CFR. In the meantime, Ukraine's HRC offers have softened by $15/mt over the same period to $560-565/mt CFR, while ex-Ukraine CRC offers are standing at $640-645/mt CFR, indicating an increase of $20/mt since last month.
