According to market sources, Turkish producers' domestic stainless steel prices have this week trended sideways after declining by $50/mt last week. Turkish producers' offers for prime quality ready stock 304/2B stainless steel CRC of 2.0 mm thickness to the local market are currently in the range of $2,950-3,000/mt ex-works, for November delivery.

During the given week, expectations of further declines in nickel prices have raised concerns in the Turkish stainless steel spot market. Demand has remained sluggish over the past week, while domestic stainless steel spot market prices have declined by $50/mt week on week to the range of $2,900-3,000/mt ex-warehouse.

Regarding nickel prices, the cash and settlement price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) has decreased by $995/mt over the past week, closing the day at $15,315/mt on October 16.
