SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that end-user demand in the Russian domestic flat steel market is stable at decent levels, providing support for Russian steel producers to maintain their sales volumes in the local market, as their export sales have recently declined due to a lack of demand especially in the Middle East and Turkey ahead of Ramadan.

Current hot rolled coil (HRC) and cold rolled coil (CRC) prices in the Russian domestic market are presented in the following table:

Product

Price ($/mt)

2.0-2.99 mm HRC

700-710

6.0-12.0 mm HRC

680

0.5 mm CRC

740-745

1.0-1.7 mm CRC

715-730

All the above prices are for July production materials and for August shipment, and are on ex-works basis, inclusive of 18 percent VAT.
