Deals available at low end of US import HDG price range

In general, prices within the US import hot dipped galvanized and Galvalume coil markets have held at neutral since our last report a week ago, although trader sources say that an increasing number of transactions are starting to take place at the bottom of the most commonly reported price ranges as inventories at both service centers and US ports continue to trend high.

Trader sources say that while some companies are still willing to conduct business with Chinese mills, others are becoming increasingly wary due to renewed trade case chatter. Others point out these rumors have been going on for months and wonder if the current speculations are little more than “another round of people crying wolf.”
