CSI follows other US flats mills with price increase

In a letter to customers Friday, California Steel Industries (CSI) announced that due to changing market conditions, they are increasing transaction prices, effective immediately, by a minimum of the following:

Hot Rolled $20/nt
P&O $20/nt
Cold Rolled $20/nt
Galvanized $25/nt

Additionally, CSI announced that their July Galvanized order book is now closed, but they will continue to accept July orders for all other products, and the August Flat Rolled order book is now open.
