According to market sources, buyers of ex-CIS slab have been maintaining a wait-and-see stance as regards purchases. Ukrainian producers' production processes and supply volumes have been negatively impacted by the ongoing conflict in the east of the country. Market sources state that buyers have started to look out for new suppliers and some Russian producers have already started to try to increase their slab prices. Meanwhile, ex-CIS slab offers to Europe are at $480-485 FOB Black Sea for October shipments.
