Chinese flat steel export prices vary between sideways and soft trend

During the week ending September 17, Chinese export offers for flat steel products have indicated downward movement for cold rolled coil (CRC), hot rolled plate (HRP) and shipbuilding plate, though remaining stable for other products. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $290-300/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $330-340/mt FOB.

During the given week, foreign buyers have not been so active in booking orders, which has contributed to small declines in some Chinese flat steel product offer prices.
