Chinese flat steel export offers indicate further declines

During the week ending July 23, Chinese export offers of flat steel products have continued their overall declining trend. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $310-320/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $370-390/mt FOB.

During the given week, overseas buyers have mostly been maintaining a very cautious stance as the market is in its traditional summer offseason, resulting in slack activity. It is thought that demand from the overseas market is unlikely to improve in the last week of July.
