Chinese flat steel prices to Taiwan are moving upwards. Market sources state that flat steel offers from China to Taiwan are currently at $510-515/mt for hot rolled coil (HRC), at $545-550/mt for cold rolled coil (CRC) and at $525-530/mt for cold rolled full hard (CRFH) coil, all CFR Taiwan.

With buyers already carrying high inventories and also due to concerns that the upward price trend may give way to a downward revision in the short term, the Chinese flat steel purchases of Taiwanese buyers are slow, while market sources report that almost no firm bids from Taiwan to Chinese suppliers have been heard.
