Average export offer prices of Chinese flat steel products have indicated an overall upward trend in the past week. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $495-505/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $590-600/mt FOB.
During the given week, ferrous metal futures prices in China have increased, boosting sentiment in the domestic flat steel market. Chinese domestic flat steel prices have moved up, with the result that Chinese flat steel export offer prices have also risen. With major Chinese steelmakers announcing unchanged ex-works flat product prices for March, it is thought that Chinese flat steel export offer prices will likely remain stable in the coming week.
