Average export offer prices of Chinese flat steel products have indicated an overall downward movement in the past week. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $510-520/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $570-590/mt FOB.
Previous significant increases in China's flat steel export prices had exerted a negative impact on demand and so exporters have lowered their offer prices in the past week. Flat steel inventories in China are still at relatively low levels at present. It is thought that Chinese flat steel export offer prices will likely move sideways in the coming week.
