In the past week, average export offer prices of Chinese flat steel have mostly indicated an upward trend. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $475-495/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $580-600/mt FOB.
The fluctuations in Chinese ferrous metal futures prices have influenced export offer prices for flat steel from China, causing fluctuations in prices, though average export offer prices for flat steel from China have mostly moved on a rising trend. Meanwhile, inventories of the main finished steel products in the Chinese domestic market are on the low side, which will provide support for futures prices. It is thought that export offer prices for flat steel from China will either indicate upward movement or remain stable in the coming week.
