Speculative activity has resumed in the steel plate market in China due to production restrictions for environmental protection in China's northern region. Inventories in the spot market are at relatively low levels, providing support for steel plate prices in the spot market. Meanwhile, hot rolled coil (HRC) prices have indicated some increases, which will have a positive impact on steel plate prices in the spot market.
