Demand in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) market has remained at low levels during the past week, while domestic CRC prices have moved sideways in the same period. Market players are still experiencing cash flow problems in the market and buyers are only concluding deals in line with their needs amid the fluctuations seen in the US dollar-Turkish lira exchange rate. Meanwhile, Turkish producers' CRC prices have remained unchanged over the past week in the range of $400-420/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT, and for February production.

Currently, traders' CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are as follows:

 Product

Price ($/mt)

Eregli

Gebze

0.6 mm CRC

470-490

475-485

0.7-2 mm CRC

430-440

440-450

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for February delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
