According to market sources, Turkish hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil prices both in the local and in the export markets have trended sideways over the past week, while demand has remained sluggish. In the meantime, market players, who are still waiting for an uptick in demand, are expected to adopt a wait-and-see stance until the middle of next month.

In the Turkish domestic market, HDG sales prices are currently as follows:

Product

Price ($/mt)

HDG   0.50 mm  100gr/m²

770-790

HDG   1 mm  100gr/m²

720-740

HDG   2 mm  100gr/m²

705-710

The above prices, which may differ depending on product quality, are ex-works, exclude VAT, and are for advance payments.

On the other hand, ex-Turkey HDG offers are still at $750-760/mt FOB for November production.
