In the Bulgarian domestic market flat steel demand is significantly low, while local flat steel prices are trending sideways in general. In the Bulgarian domestic market, hot rolled coil (HRC) prices are currently standing at BGN 1,050-1,060/mt ($737-744/mt), while cold rolled coil (CRC) prices are at BGN 1,290-1,300/mt ($906-913/mt) and prices of 0.5 mm hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil are standing at 1,440-1,450/mt ($1,011-1,018/mt). In Bulgaria, buyers are cautious as regards new purchases due to the downward price trend and this is resulting in slower market activity. Market players state that a slight increase in prices may trigger purchasing activity.

In the Greek flat steel market demand is low, with the actual transaction volume remaining poor in line with the silence which has been observed in the market for weeks now. In this context, Turkish steel producers' HRC export offers at $650-670/mt FOB are not considered as a workable price level in Greece.
