Brazilian slab export offers for the basic commercial grades are now traded at $415/mt, FOB conditions, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

The price compares with $420/mt last week, reflecting a downtrend in line with international prices, the source said.

In April, Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem exported slab at an average price level of $403/mt, while ArcelorMittal Tubarao exported at an average price of $457/mt, and ThyssenKrupp CSA exported at an average price of $435/mt, all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in February.
