Brazilian HRC export tonnages decline while prices rise

The Brazilian producers exported 101,400 mt of HRC in February, 29 percent less than in January, at an average FOB price increased by 10 percent to $517/mt FOB.
 
ArcelorMittal Tubarao exported 73,400 mt at $493/mt, CSN exported 22,600 mt at $547/mt, Usiminas exported 4,600 mt at $763/mt, all FOB conditions, for price deals probably closed in December 2016.
 
The main destinations were Asia (29,300 mt), Latin America (25,100 mt), Turkey (24,500 mt) and the EU (22,300 mt).
 
The most recent export deal for the Brazilian HRC was reportedly closed at $530/mt, FOB conditions, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.
