Brazilian steelmakers are negotiating hot dipped galvanized products (HDG), G40 with less than 4.75mm in thickness, for export at $726/mt, FOB conditions, stable since a $30/mt increase on 01 December, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

In November, for price deals probably closed in September, CSN exported HDG at $644/mt, Usiminas at $779/mt and ArcelorMittal at $662/mt, FOB conditions, having the US (13,600mt) and Argentina (6,300mt) as main destinations.

The source mentioned that HDG exports of December were higher in volume than those of November, although fresh HDG export deals in December were reduced, reflecting a seasonal trend, rather than the impact of the higher price.
