Brazilian HDG exports increase in March

Brazil exported 43,300 mt of HDG in March, 8.4 percent more than in February, at an average FOB price increased by 2.8 percent to $826/mt.
 
The exporters were CSN (25,800 mt at $789/mt), Usiminas (12,700 mt at $877/mt) and ArcelorMittal (4,600 mt at $880/mt), all FOB conditions with price deals probably closed in January.
 
The destinations were the US (23,000 mt at $780/mt) and Latin America (19,910 mt at $876/mt, of which 19,400 mt to Argentina at $878/mt), all FOB conditions.
 
A source from a major exporter in Brazil told SteelOrbis that his last HDG export deal was closed at $770/mt, FOB conditions, having the G40 grade, 4.75mm thickness product as reference.
 
Meanwhile, Brazil imported in March 26,100 mt of HDG from China at $578/mt, FOB conditions.
