Brazilian HDG exports decline in June

Brazil exported 42,100 mt of hot dipped galvanized products (HDG) in June, 4.5 percent less than in May, at an average FOB price increased by 5.8 percent to $847/mt.

CSN exported 22,900 mt at $816/mt, while Usiminas exported 16,100 mt at $892/mt and ArcelorMittal exported 3,000 mt at $846/mt, all FOB conditions with price deals probably closed in April.

The main destination was the US, 25,100 mt at $805/mt, while 16,300 mt was shipped to Latin America at $919/mt, of which 11,200 mt at $979/mt to Argentina, all FOB conditions.

A local exporter mentioned that Brazilian producers remain negotiating HDG for export in average at $760/mt, FOB conditions, a reference price already stable for three weeks.

Meanwhile, Brazil imported in June 18,300 mt of HDG from China at $694/mt, FOB conditions.
