A source from a major exporter told SteelOrbis that he is negotiating slab export prices at $410/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.

The price compares with $415/mt one week ago, reflecting a downtrend in line with international prices, according to the source.

In April, Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem exported slab at $403/mt, ArcelorMittal Tubarao at $457/mt, and ThyssenKrupp CSA at $435/mt, all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in February.
