The latest export deals for hot dipped galvanized products (HDG) were closed in Brazil at $760/mt, FOB conditions, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

The new price, having the G40 grade as reference, compares with $770/mt FOB two weeks ago. Sources say the decline reflects efforts to remain in line with international prices, but further small declines are not being ruled out in the near term.

In April, CSN exported HDG at $813/mt, Usiminas at $797/mt and ArcelorMittal at $880/mt, FOB conditions, with the US (25,000 mt) and Latin America (5,400 mt) as the main destinations.

In April, Brazilian traders imported 8,500 mt of HDG from China at $687/mt, FOB conditions.
