On August 21, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steel producer Bensteel announced upward adjustments to most of its ex-works flat steel prices for September production. The details are as follows:
1. HR
HR prices remain stable compared to the price level for August production. Thus, the price of 2.75 mm Q235 is still at RMB 3,760/mt ($550/mt) while the price of 5.75 mm Q235 is at RMB 3,690/mt ($540/mt).
2. CR
CR prices have risen by RMB 280/mt ($41/mt) from the price level for August production. Accordingly, the new price of 1.0 mm DC01 is at RMB 4,740/mt ($694/mt).
3. HDG
HDG prices have increased by RMB 180/mt ($26/mt) from August levels. As a result, the price of 1.0 mm SGCC stands at RMB 4,890/mt ($715/mt).
4. PPGI
PPGI prices have increased by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt) from August levels. Thus, the new price of 0.47 mm TDC51D is at RMB 5,950/mt ($871/mt).
The above prices, which are effective for bookings as of August 21, do not include 17 percent VAT.
