On June 22, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steel producer Bensteel announced upward adjustments to its ex-works prices for flat steel products to be effective for July 2009. The details are as follows:
1. HR
HR prices have increased by RMB 300/mt ($43/mt) from the June price level. Thus the new price of 2.75 mm Q235 is at RMB 3,460/mt ($506/mt) while the new price of 5.75 mm Q235 is at RMB 3,390/mt ($496/mt).
2. CR
CR prices have risen by RMB 380/mt ($55/mt) from the price level for June. Accordingly, the new price of 1.0 mm DC01 is at RMB 4,030/mt ($590/mt).
3. HDG
HDG prices have increased by RMB 380/mt ($55/mt) from June levels. As a result, the price of 1.0 mm SGCC stands at RMB 4,280/mt ($626/mt).
4. PPGI
PPGI prices have increased by RMB 400/mt ($58/mt) from June levels. Thus the new price of 0.47 mm TDC51D is at RMB 5,250/mt ($768/mt).
