Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has issued its prices for carbon steel flat products for delivery in July. The details are as follows (comparisons are with June delivery prices):
1. Hot rolled coil (HRC):
1) Prices of HRC produced by Baosteel's main steel production base are down $33/mt.
2) Prices of high-strength welding quality structural steel are down by $66/mt.
2. Hot rolled pickled products:
1) Prices of products from the main steel base are down $24/mt.
2) Products from Baosteel Group's Shanghai-based subsidiary Meishan Steel are down $33/mt.
3. Cold rolled (CR) products:
1) Prices of products from the main steel base are down $33/mt.
2) Products from Meishan Steel are $8/mt lower in price than products from the main steel base.
3) Prices of double-welded pipe (BHG2) steel are $82/mt lower in the third quarter compared to prices in the second quarter.
4. Hot dip galvanized (HDG):
1) Prices of products from the main steel base are down $16/mt while prices of DQ grade products are down by $33/mt.
2) Prices of products from Meishan Steel are down $16/mt.
3) Extra charges for zinc have been canceled.
5. Electro-galvanized (EG) products:
Prices of CQ grade products are down $24/mt, while prices of other products have remained stable.
6. Galvalume:
1) Product prices are down $16/mt.
2) Extra charges for zinc have been canceled.
7. Coated products:
Prices for July-August delivery are $33/mt lower compared to prices for May-June delivery.
8. Non-grain-oriented (NGO) electrical steel prices
Prices of non-grain-oriented (NGO) electrical steel are down $29/mt.
9. Grain-oriented (GO) electrical steel prices
Prices of grain-oriented (GO) electrical steel have remained stable.
