The prices of carbon steel flat rolled products produced by major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel for July shipment are as follows (comparisons are with June prices):
1. HRC: prices of low carbon, ultra-low carbon steel and common cold forming steel are down by RMB 500/mt ($73.3/mt), while prices for other products are down by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt).
2. Hot rolled pickled products have been reduced by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt).
3. CR products
1) Non-automotive steel: CQ steel is down by RMB 500/mt ($73/mt); precision pipe welding steel costs RMB 400/mt ($59/mt) less; the price of other steel products is down by RMB 500/mt ($73/mt).
Automotive steel: the price of CQ steel is down by RMB 500/mt ($73/mt), with prices of other products reduced by RMB 500/mt ($73/mt).
2) Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co.,Ltd products: prices down by RMB 500/mt($73/mt).
3) Products with a thickness thinner than 0.5mm: prices down by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt).
4. HDG
1) Prices of S series structural steel and hot rolled pickled galvanized are down by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt), with prices of automotive steel and non-automotive steel, CQ grade, down by RMB 500/mt ($73/mt), and with other products down by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt).
2) Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co.,Ltd products: all down by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt).
5. EG: automotive and non-automotive steel, CQ grade, are down by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt), with other products down by RMB 500/mt ($73/mt).
6. Galvalume: all lower RMB 200/mt ($29/mt), Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co.,Ltd product is RMB 200 lower than main steel base product.
7. Color coated (July-August): all down by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt).
8. Heavy plate: all prices down by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt).
