Early in the week ended December 9, domestic prices for commercial grade HRC were heard at $625-640/mt ex-works and CRC heard at $755-765/mt ex-works.

On December 12, Argentina’s flat steel prices are said to be increasing as a result of both higher raw material costs and stronger dollar effect.  Domestic offers for commercial grade HRC have moved up to $640-655/mt, CRC to $760-$770/mt, and HDG to $1040-1140/mt, all in ex-works terms.

This is an increase of $15/mt on HRC, $5/mt increase on CRC, and $40/mt increase on HDG.  HDG coil selections were heard offered in the wide range of $1000-1100/mt ex-works early last week.
