On May 20, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Ansteel issued its steel sales prices for June shipment. The details are as follows (all comparisons being with May prices):
1. Hot rolled coil (HRC):
The price of HRC for automobile manufacture has decreased by RMB 210/mt ($34/mt), while the prices of other HRC products excluding line pipe steel, container steel, automobile steel, and anti-corrosion S355J2W(H) steel has decreased by RMB 160/mt ($26/mt). As a result, the price of SPHC 3.1 mm x 1,000-1,199 mm low carbon HRC is at RMB 3,360/mt ($543/mt), while the price of Q235 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm common carbon HRC is standing at RMB 3,270/mt ($527/mt).
2. Cold rolled coil (CRC)
The prices of common carbon steel, household appliance steel, enameling steel, precision welded pipe steel, barrel steel, elevator steel, high-strength structural steel, and steel-and-aluminum composite steel has decreased by RMB 100/mt ($16/mt), while the prices of other cold rolled coils has decreased by RMB 150/mt ($24/mt). At present, the price of SPCC 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm cold rolled coil is at RMB 4,250/mt ($685/mt).
3. Cold rolled full hard coil
The prices of most cold rolled full hard coils have decreased by RMB 160/mt ($26/mt). At present, the price of SPCC 0.3 mm x 1,000 mm cold rolled full hard coil is at RMB 4,290/mt ($692/mt). The price of cold rolled full hard coil with width of 750-775 mm has increased by RMB 130/mt ($21/mt), while the price of cold rolled full hard coil with width of 775-900 mm has increased by RMB 30/mt ($5/mt)
4. Hot rolled pickled and oiled
The prices of all pickled and oiled products have declined by RMB 160/mt ($26/mt). At present, the price of SPHC 3.5 mm pickled and oiled sheet is at RMB 3,480/mt ($561/mt).
5. Galvanized steel
The price of galvanized steel has decreased by RMB 100/mt ($16/mt), with the price of St01Z 1.0 mm galvanized steel now at RMB 4,470/mt ($721/mt).
6. Hot dip galvanized (HDG)
The ex-works price of HDG has decreased by RMB 100/mt ($16/mt), with the price of DX51D+AZ 1.0 mm x 1,000 mm x C HDG now at RMB 4,770/mt ($769/mt).
7. Pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI)
The price of PPGI has declined by RMB 200/mt ($32/mt). Accordingly, the price of TDX51D+Z 0.5 mm PPGI is now standing at RMB 5,750/mt ($927/mt).
8. Steel plate
The price of steel plate has declined by RMB 100/mt ($16/mt). Accordingly, the price of Q235A 20 mm common carbon medium plate is standing at RMB 3,750/mt ($605/mt).
9. Electrical steel
The price of electrical steel has decreased by RMB 200/mt ($32/mt)
All the above prices are ex-works, exclude tax and are effective from May 20.
