On March 16, Angang issued its ex-factory prices for April. The details are as follows:
1. Hot rolled prices are down RMB 550/mt ($81/mt). Thus, the new price of 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm Q235 is RMB 2,730/mt ($400/mt).
2. Cold rolled prices have decreased RMB 350/mt ($51/mt). As a result, the price of 1.0 mm ST12 cold rolled sheet is now at RMB 3,570/mt ($523/mt).
3. Medium plate prices have declined RMB 200/mt ($29/mt), with the price of 20 mm common carbon plate thereby falling to RMB 2,960/mt ($433/mt).
4. Heavy plate prices are down RMB 100/mt ($15/mt). Thus, the price of 20 mm common carbon heavy plate is now at RMB 3,120/mt ($457/mt).
5. Boiler plate prices have seen a drop of RMB 300/mt ($44/mt).
6. Prices of galvanized coils have moved down by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt). Following the adjustment, the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C ST01Z is RMB 3,880/mt ($568/mt).
7. Color coated prices have remained constant, with the price of 0.5 mm x 1,250 mm TDX51D+Z still at RMB 5,400/mt ($791/mt).
8. Silicon steel prices have also remained unchanged, with 50AW800 silicon steel offered at RMB 4,570/mt ($669/mt).
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective from March 16, 2009.
