AK Steel raises flat rolled base prices another $40/nt

On Friday, West Chester, Ohio-based AK Steel said in a letter to customers that it will increase current spot market base prices for all carbon flat-rolled steel products by $2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt), effective immediately with new orders.

The increase is in addition to a $2.00 cwt. price increase from AK Steel on July 6.
