AK Steel joins other US mills in flats increase

AK Steel said today that it will increase current spot market base prices for all carbon flat-rolled steel products by a minimum of $30/nt ($1.50 cwt.), effective immediately with new orders.
  
Nucor and ArcelorMittal have also announced the same price increase, while SSAB announced a $30/nt increase for HRC only.
