Activity still sluggish in local Turkish CRC market

Demand in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) spot market is still weak, while buyers are concluding new bookings only to meet their immediate needs. As caution still prevails, trading activity remains sluggish in the market. Despite the weak activity, Turkish CRC producers have maintained their price levels unchanged week on week at $500-540/mt ex-works, due to the sideways trend of domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) prices. Meanwhile, traders’ CRC prices in spot market have also remained stable week on week.
