During the given week, supplies in the local steel plate spot market have indicated some shortages, reducing the declining momentum of prices. Meanwhile, reports indicate that rolling mills will carry out maintenance works in the coming period, which will likely reduce supply and provide support for steel plate prices. Also, approaching the Dragon Boat Festival Holiday (June 9-12), some buyers will likely replenish their inventories in the days before the holiday, which will boost activity in the market. However, as the rainy weather is continuing in China, demand is expected to remain slack. It is thought that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely move sideways in the coming week.
