China's domestic stainless steel market has mostly either seen slight rebounds in prices or stable movement during the past week.
Global nickel prices have risen slightly during the past week. On March 25, the three-month nickel price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed at $13,750/mt, while LME nickel inventory on the same date totaled 433,980 mt.
It is thought that in the short term nickel prices may continue their upward movement. In this context, domestic stainless steel market prices have been stable or indicated slight upticks in the past week, apart from prices of some 200 series products which have softened slightly. Overall trading activity has improved a little but is still at relatively low levels. Traders may offer certain discounts in order to attract business. It is believed that the market will fluctuate on an upward trend in the coming week.
