Turkish Karsan auto production breaks record

Turkish auto producer Karsan sold a record number of 14 037 autos in the first nine months of the year yielding an income of $198-mil. Karsan is expecting to increase its income 2.8-fold to $260-mil in 2004. Operating profits by the company increased to $15-mil in the Jan-Sept period, up from $3.7-mil last year. Net profits reached $3.4-mil.
