Turkey’s exports break record in 2004

According to State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, Turkey's exports reached $64.1 billion in 2004, indicating a rise of 33.7% compared to 2003. In 2004, agriculture sector exports were up by 24.7% from a year earlier in 2004 to $7.6 billion while industrial sector exports reached $55.2 billion with a rise of 34.8% and mining sector exports were recorded as $1.2 billion with a rise of 42.5%. Agriculture sector's share in total exports was recorded as 11.9%, industrial sector's 86.3% and mining sector's 1.9%.
