Trade between China and Germany to hit $50 billion

Trade between China and Germany, China's largest European trade partner, is expected to reach $50 billion this year. Trade between the two countries amounted to $41.9 billion last year. Ministry of Commerce (MoC) statistics show that German businesses invested in 3'871 projects by the end of August. Meanwhile, statistics from Germany show China has replaced Japan since 2002 as its largest trade partner in Asia. Globally, China is Germany's second largest trade partner outside the European Union, following the US.
