Taiwan’s September exports show a good performance
Taiwan's exports reached NTD 506.7 billion (around $14.9 billion) in September, up by 18.5% compared to the same period of last year. Meanwhile, imports rose by 28.6% to NTD 482.7 billion. However, the trade surplus decreased by 54.2% to NTD 23.99 billion in the mentioned period. In the first nine months of the year, exports amounted to NTD 4.3 trillion with a rise of 20.7% compared to the same period of last year while imports were recorded as NTD 4.1 trillion with a rise of 30.5%. Accordingly, the trade surplus reached NTD 201.7 billion with a 52.2% decline. In September, Taiwan's exports to Hong Kong, China, Japan, Korea and the five ASEAN (Association of the Southeast Asian Nations) countries grew by at least 17% while exports to the US and Europe rose by 6.3% and 9.3% respectively.Taiwan's September exports show a good performance
