Suzuki reports 2003 production and sales

According to recent market reports, Japanese automaker Suzuki announced the 2003 results of automobile production and sales. Accordingly, company sold 627'933 vehicles in 2003 while its exports amounted to 274'696 units, up by 3% compared to 2002. In 2003, Suzuki produced 919'591 vehicles in Japan with a decrease by 2% and 985'312 vehicles in overseas countries with an increase by 15%. Suzuki officials expect that domestic sales will reach to 645'000 units in 2004, up by 3% while exports will rise by 3% to 284'000 units. Domestic production is anticipated to reach 949'000 units and overseas production will remain stable at 986'000 units.
