Pakistan’s industrial output up by 19.62%

Pakistani industrial output grew by 19.62% in the first two months of the current fiscal year against 18.1% increase recorded in the same period of last year. In the aforementioned period, production of iron and steel products increased by 8.4% with 4.18% increase in pig iron, 8.69% in cast/rolled billet, 28.69% in hot rolled coils/plates, 31.08% in cold rolled coils. The increase registered in the manufacturing of automobiles is 49.24%, light commercial vehicles 73.22%, trucks 25.24%, buses 76%, tractors 61.03% and motorcycles 53.12%.
