Iran’s steel production up by 11.3%

Iran's steel output reached more than 5.15 million tons during March 20-October 21, 2004, up by 11.3%, the Ministry of Industries and Mines said. In this period, 2.28 million tons of hot rolled and 464'000 tons of cold rolled products were produced. These figures showed a rise of 30.9% and 31.6% respectively. Furthermore, iron bar production amounted to 890'000 tons while 1.44 million tons of rods were produced.
